Spigot For Refrigerated Carloads Has Finally Been Turned On

Up until this week traffic on the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line had been sparse. This past Monday I photographed a string of eight cars rolling down Walker Street destined for Watsonville customers. I am looking forward to this becoming a common sight through the rest of the summer. I posted a series on last Monday’s activity along with a look back at Sierra Northern’s operation over on West Coast Rail Forums.
