Very sad news indeed! I have not seen Mike in a long time, but spent four or five years filming their restoration of #2467 at the Oakland Terminal/Army Base yards and got to know Mike, Earl, Howard and the rest of the gang down there during that period. I can still see Mike and his "happy go lucky" attitude. I do not think I ever heard him erupt once in all the time I was filming.
So it is very sad to hear that Mike passed.
