Gosh -- I wish someone would digitize the photos
in those two albums, and all the slides, too!

According to the library's web page:
"Dorr, a resident of Palos Verdes Estates, was a member
of numerous railway clubs in California. He participated
in some 28 railroad excursions during the period 1948 to
1968 for which he kept photos or records. Most were in
California but some also included Alaska, Chicago, Colorado,
Nevada, and Arizona."
Slides include excursions sponsored by: the Bay Area Electric
RR Association, the California-Nevada Railroad Historical
Society, and the Northern California Railroad Club, among
others. There are also some slides Dorr took during the
1949 Chicago Railroad Fair.
