To answer the question: No.

The Arizona and California don't have many crews anyway, just enough to run there normal trains with a few extra to cover vacations, sick, etc. So any BNSF detour wouldn't have an A&C pilot available. The detour route isn't that great anyway and if needed a UP Colton-Vaughn detour would be more reasonable.
