My read on the ATSF steam locomotives that were, from what I heard , Dumped on the CSRM with little to no warning. The collection had been stored outside for an extended period of time with many examples so weather damaged that there was little worth saving. The Steam engines are reportedly in fair to good condition and have been painted with a rust preventative paint. Whether the museum will EVER have room or money for them remains to be seen.
