It may or may not be a good idea to electrify railroads, depending on future assumptions. I have had to do that trade off matrix. And, like all complex issues and problems the costs and benefits depend on many variables, and, as always with complex issues, a certain degree of uncertainty.

But, as usual, it's an example of yet another real option/issue where both of the loony fringes would certainly be willing to come to a fight over, with their usual bias toward their preferred brand of willful ignorance, and with an absolute certainty that their brand of ignorance is indeed the real truth.

What was CA's per capita electric power production and consumption in 1995? What is it today?

The answer might just surprise you.......

What percentage of future power production would RR electrification require?

When you take the time to actually find answers to real questions and search for real facts you might just find that you have a basis for making serious arguments, one way, or the other?
