Adding a bit to the traffic pattern (I live 600 feet from the Stampede line at about MP 93) there is usually a bit less traffic as mentioned during the day on weekdays but there still will be at least a couple of daylight trains most days. On the weekends the spacing of trains seems pretty even with a train about every 2 hours or so. The most consistent train seems to run through Covington at about 5am every day, weekdays and weekends, makes the local residents here happy. ;-)
