June 18-24, 1944

Frank left Berkeley on SP train 224 at 0810 behind Pacific 2488, arriving Sacramento at 1000.
Cutting it close, he got on train 202 with Pacific 3126 and left for Roseville at 1010, arriving there at 1045.
At 1050, Frank rode on 1-496 behind Consolidation 2779 and rode this to Gerber, arriving at 1830.
From Gerber, Frank rode the cab of AC 4220 on 3-622. They left at 2030 and arrived at Redding at 2300.
The next day (19th), Frank left Redding at 0830 on 2-622 behind AC 4139 arriving Dunsmuir at 1201.
Frank spent the rest of that day and the next in Dunsmuir.
On the 21st, Frank left Dunsmuir at 1100 on 1-628 behind AC 4131 arriving Klamath Falls of 1930.
From Dunsmuir to Black Butte, the train had malleys 4044 and 4150 as helpers to Black Butte. 4044 was cut off at Black Butte, while 4150 stayed as a through helper.
On the 22nd, Frank rode passenger train 17 from K Falls to Redding with GS-6 4464. Mountain
type 4344 was a helper from K Falls to Grass Lake. Left K Falls at at 0940 and arrived at Redding at 1545. Frank spent the night in Redding.
On the 23rd, Frank left Redding at 0830 on 2-641 behind AC 4169 arriving Gerber at 0945.
From Gerber, he took 2-497 at 1015 behind Ten-Wheeler 2341, riding the cab to Roseville and arriving there at 1530.
Not wanting to go home quite yet, Frank went east on X4153E to Colfax. Left Roseville at 1630 and arrived Colfax at 1800. The train had AC 4166 as a helper.
On the 24th, Frank rode X4182W. They left Colfax at 1130 and arrived Roseville at 1330.
From Roseville, Frank got in the cab of Mountain 4314 and rode X4314W to Fairfield. Left Roseville at 1600 and arrived Fairfield 1900.
Frank then took passenger 241 behind Pacific 2474 home to Berkeley, arriving at 2210.
He totaled his trip miles at 923.
