Actually, there is a large warehouse between the lumber yard at the south end and the depot and water tower which are at the north end and the warehouse is an even bigger fire trap than what burned. The fire departments responding are to be commended for containing it as well as it did because if that warehouse had gone up, it would burn for days and melt the tracks!! :-)
