Thanks Edward,
I had thought that it might not be able to play up there but our station had footage from the opposite side of the tracks and upstream of the collision as well as what footage you linked to.
In the yet unseen footage the trucker appeared to be attempting to seperate the tractor from its load but he wisely walked away.
