Some comments, note the large number of Pacifics at San Jose. During the war, they frequently
ran to SLO and that includes the lighter P-7 types, 2476 and 2477. 2466 showed
up in the time books of Walter Johnson on this part of the SP also during the
war.
Also, Consolidation 2781, spotted by Frank at Watsonville, ran on the Los Altos
Branch in the last year or so of steam.
SP 3000 was a very modernized Atlantic, classed A-6. She was 2nd 3000, built
at the Sacramento Shops and scrapped in January of 1951. Shame she wasn't still

ATSF fans will do a lot better than I at identifying the particular wheel
arrangements by number. I only know a few: 3800-3900 were the big Santa Fe
types, 4000 were Mikes, the lower numbered 3700s were Mountains.
