Thanks Carol. I wholeheartedly agree that we might be unaware of the challenges faced by others and could show far more compassion to those who might seem different. I have always felt the incessant belittling of Mr. Speaker is inappropriate at best, bullying at worst and those who think it is funny should re-evaluate their thought process. In a forum about railfanning, I would expect to find many who deal with autistic or asperger like symptoms, due to a correlation to their youth. I would simply ask those on this forum to have some compassion and treat others with some simple respect, not judging them because they might seem different or slow. For the past few years, I have been blessed to work with some young men with such developmental challenges and have come to realize just how special they really are. I would encourage all to think twice before posting something "funny" about another's perceived oddity.
