Travels With Frank 8 part 2 (GN employment)

Frank Saarni's first pay trip while in GN employment was on 2-386 out of K Falls at 1530 on August 12th. Power was 2126 (anyone familiar with GN steam ,please feel free to chime in here on what these locomotive types are). They got to Bend at 0130 on the 13th.
Frank was back out later that afternoon on train 387 at 1310 with 3363 as head end power and 3355 as a helper from Bend to Lava. They doubled the hill at Chemult and got to K Falls at 0510 on the 14th.
At 1610 on the 15th, Frank was on X2126E out of K Falls to Bend, arrivng there at 0430 on the 16th. After getting his rest, he headed back to K Falls, leaving Bend at 1430 on X2126W. They had the usual helper to Lava, 3351 again. They got to K Falls at 0630 on the 17th.
At 0110 on the 18th, Frank left K Falls on X3369E and arrived Bend at 1550. He turned around and went back to K Falls at 0210 on train 387 with 3369 as power. Helper from Bend to Lava was 3355. They arrived K Falls at 1230 that same day.
Frank was back out again on the 19th, this time heading for Bieber at 2200 on 387 behind 3351. They got there at 0200. At 1000, Frank left Bieber on a caboose hop (X3351E) and got to K Falls at 1400. He claimed 91 miles, while the trips between K Falls and Bend were 147 miles.
On the 20th, Frank left K Falls for Bieber at 1800 on X2129W, getting there at 2110. He returned to K Falls on the 21st, leaving Bieber at 0700 and getting to K Falls at 1000. Train was X2129E.
This was Frank's railroad career, indeed short because of the war, but a lot more than most enthusiasts got to experience. And it was all steam.
