Judging from my last visit to the Los Angeles Zoo, the city should be shutting the zoo down rather than the circus. Many exhibits were too small and in poor condition. Animals did not seem happy at all. Seemed like it was just too big for what the zoo could effectively care for; there are plenty of zoos in the region (not to mention San Diego's Zoo and Wild Animal Park) that if L.A. really wanted to stand up for something, just shut the zoo down!
