Here's a forward from the MRL YahooGroup about the engine numbers.

Even when the GN/BN ran trains on that line - they were not very regular, it's exciting to hear about the current activity.

The units were BNSF 844 (got that one right) and a Sante Fe
Warbonnet #8234 (I'm not good at identifying engine models). The
moves I saw used only one unit per train to pull the cars northbound
on the line, with a hi-rail truck helping out.
