A couple years back, SMS Railway (the Baldwin stronghold in Southern NJ) tried to buy them. The owner wasn't interested in selling.

As far as I know they remain hidden in Michigan. There was a story at the time they were first hidden that railfans had stolen the builders plates and that caused the owner to just hide them away.
