For those way on the West Coast where the trees turn from green to green and the desert stays deserted - or those homesick for the East Coast, here are a few Fall foliage shots from three local steam lines close to me in Philadelphia:
Western Maryland Scenic (w/ WM #729) Western Maryland #729 was #734 renumbered for a recent Lerro charter.
Black River and Western BR&W #60 is former Colorado native Great Western #60, the only Alco steam engine the line ever owned.
New Hope and Ivyland New Hope and Iyvland #40 is former Lancaster and Chester from South Carolina.
No Steamtown this year (Scranton), but hope to have some upcoming images to share from Wilmington, DE shortly!
