Are you zephyrus over on Trainorders? You sent me an illustration of MH 89 in Daylight colors. I am sure the traditionalist here would want scarlet and gray for a Santa Cruz branch line freight locomotive, but a Daylight scheme would work for me too.
Why don’t you post your illustration over on my Trainorders thread to see how others feel. Maybe IP operations will see your illustration and consider the Daylight paint scheme.
