Speaking of the Milwaukee Road, I wish the authorities would extend the trail across the Columbia River between the Saddle Mountains and the old Helper station at Beverly,WA.

However, even though the TRAIL is controlled by Wash State Parks, the BRIDGE is controlled by the Dept of Natural Resources (DNR) and they say "No Way".. First they would have to "cardeck" the bridge and make sure the high winds wouldn't blow you off into the river..
I'd like to see a response from George Andrews on this subject or anyone else!!
