I'm actually old enough to have ridden the line, and for a long time had a spike salvaged from the scrapping of the rails in Burlingame. But this picture puzzles me since I have no idea where Pacific City is, and the trolley seems to be headed south toward San Mateo rather than toward the Ferry building. The people in the picture look like fans to me, so perhaps it was some kind of fan trip as opposed to a regular car on the route. Interesting picture, thanks for posting.
