I'm sure there a few pesky details such as bearings and brakes that have to be addressed for it to be moved safely.
The idea that a Big Boy will be running again is a miracle in itself, but I'm sure UP will be absolutely pi$$ed at impatient foamers before this is all done and over with.
Now - if the Big Boy is being "rebuilt" - does that mean it needs to be brought up to modern safety standards? I wonder where the gen-set is going to run the PTC and air conditioner, the flashing ditch lights will be a nice touch, and where will they install the biffy? To meet the side reflection requirements, the only place I can see Scotchlite going is on the rods. Now throw on a nice bright coat of Armour Yellow paint for corporate identity and be sure everyone is wearing a safety vest. Even if they can't pass a McDonalds without stopping to get more french fry oil, where are they going to put the muffler and particulate filter?
And you thought that you were only going to have to photoshop out the lime yellow safety vests and crop out that dirty diesel helper ....
