First off, Ed doesn't give up with his crazy questions does he ? (grin)
First, the gauge debacle of eBart! Now harmonics and speed... Thanks to OPB for setting the record straight.
Two things I might mention about the Bridge Railway. General Railway Signal company had the system set up for a train past a given point every 63-seconds..

Next, the speed restriction on the Bridge was caused primarily by the Southern Pacific "Red Trains".. A five-car train of these puppies was darn heavy. We're talking about 72-foot steel cars..
