In Eric. H's post, the 1st shot looks like Chemult,OR. In truth, an Amshack was sufficient for most of the locations they were installed at. The sad thing was knowing that Amtrak never felt the need to install even an Amshack @ Espee Pomona,CA. I spent many a Friday night @ Pomona along with a group of fans, watching the action on the Espee and EwePee mainlines through town. Too many times we would watch a vehicle drive past the boarded - up Espee depot several times, then stop so a passenger could ask: " Is this is where the train stops ??? " Several times they would not stop to ask us until after The Sunset Train # 2 had departed; next stop Palm Springs, some 80 miles East of Pomona !!!
