TIOGA PASS has been resting in her parking place in Los Angeles since arriving home after a transcontinental trip in late November, but it wasn't all rest - we have made several improvements such as redecorating the formal dining room, making improvements to the trucks ( wheels) and repainting the platform area.
I must say the old girl looks much better now so we will take her out for a test run to San Diego on Saturday, February 15. Join us for a fun ride down the coast. You can stand on the open platform at real high speed ( 90 MPH! ) around Oceanside for a thrill. Morning brunch will be served leaving LA, and of course, all beverage service is included in your fare.
Arriving San Diego before noon will give your group over 5 hours to explore San Diego - there's plenty to do such a the carrier Midway, The Zoo, or maybe a Harbor cruise. Return to your private car about 5:30pm for happy hour, then dinner, prepared on board by our chef Chandler, served about 600pm. We should arrive home at 9:05pm after a full but great day of exploring and train riding.
