Low highway / city street clearances

There are several low-clearance guide books - some as secondary listings - some specialized.

My favorite low clearance is just South of McLendon's, Renton - both the previous "tunnel" and the bridge under construction - with cutter bar. (Pacific Coast Coal, then Milwaukee, now BNSF / Boeing) Mentioned earlier.

During our post-retirement RV travels, we did our homework, watched signs, and watched for scars on structures.

Related subject: Two communities that direct drivers of larger vehicles to not use the curb lane. Primary poles lean to the left and roadway leans to the right. Oh, my goodness!

The railroads know their clearances. Many of us have seen the electronic inspection stations for Tehachapi. Once upon a time: baggage cars with feeler sticks, and lots of track time. Now, it is all electronic.

Berne, Washington, is a great place to watch high doubles fitting thru notches.
Also, the Seattle tunnel.
