What I was asking was what static display locomotive ,in a park or museum, that NO ONE would ever have thought would run again, will be next to be resurrected? I personally was beyond surprised that WM # 6 was returned to operation. Probably the most improbable would be the Southern Ps4 in the Smithsonian . The restoration movement is alive and well and some of the work of late has been amazing. We now have an operating Willamet , a Big Boy is on the way to operation, The N&W 611 has backing and all seems to be progressing nicely. Even the Illinois Railway museum is nearing completion on their steam project. I have read good things about the East Broad Top as well along the lines of an ownership transfer and "plans" to return the ENTIRE line to operation. The momentum is increasing .
