As of a few days ago on MRL, there were 10 SD45s on in service. In Laurel Yard, used on the remote switch engines 325/ 330/ 331/ 355, with the 319 as a spare. In Helena the 311/ 327/ 328 are used as unmanned helpers. There's a ribbon rail out on line with the 326/ 332. And there are about 7 SD45s stored in Livingston, but available for service.

Except for the 311/ 332 and 355, the rest currently in service are ex-SP SD45Rs, but MRL lists them as dash 2s.
