Chuck,
Yes, there will be an Amtrak National Train Day event May 10 in Portland OR. Details are being worked out between PRPA and Amtrak marketing about getting the 700 to the event. We haven't yet put a volunteer organization together to support the event but will if Amtrak so desires. The event will be at Union Station.
Sorry for the lack of details but it is early in our process here. I was, however, pleased that we got a firm yes from Amtrak marketing as this is key to holding the event.
