SP Mill City branch

Does anyone know when the Mill City branch was cut back to its current end? Its current end is at Mill City station MP 725.7 (1984 TT); which was 726.6 with end of track at 727.9 (1969 TT); end of track was Gates station 729.5 per 1960 TT (and before Detroit Dam was built it went to Idanha 750.0)

What was the last railroad shipper in old Mill City? I think the closure of the industry resulted in the line being cut back eliminating the need to cross the North Santiam River bridge between old and new Mill City stations. This bridge was a used/relocated Phoenix truss that still exists as [art of a local trail. LINK Even though some strengthening with steel shapes is obvious, no doubt the lightweight capacity restricted this to small power including GE 70 tons and probably never saw a heavier diesel.

A related question - when did the Albany and Coos Bay roundhouses close? By that, I mean mechanical personnel were no longer assigned to service engines.

Thanks
