Did the Limited run more than one year? I was on one (did get turned through the lumber mill) that had SP's first U33C on the point (also had the SDF45 and F unit for steam) that ran way late through a blizzard. Thought is was in May - if so it was earlier than this one.

Coming back toward Roseville, at some point in the foothills we looked back and saw smoke coming from under the obs car (Circumnavigators Club?). Somebody went back and figured out that the brakes were stuck on. So they cut out air on the car and cranked the brakes off with the handbrake and we continued - I guess the other 20+ cars were plenty for braking by that point. Can't imagine that happening these days, with "modern" safety regulations.

Yes, I have slides and some are even scanned, but no account at a place I can upload them. Will have to work on that...
