To my knowledge Arcadia does not fact check their books. They leave that up to the author. The only thing they look for is libelous material and possible copyright violations. Arcadia is about as close to self publishing as you can get without having to pay for the printing yourself. Arcadia is at the mercy of the picture quality supplied by the authors.

That said, Arcadia has published much material from private collections that otherwise would not be available.
