A good friend sent me this message today------thought I'd pass it along. I have already downloaded it to the Kindle but have to finish another book before starting it. He lives in Redmond and belongs to a book club and here is what he sent:
You may already know about it but in case you did not I wanted to tell you about a new train book. It is called:
"Train: Riding the Rails That Created the Modern World--From the Trans-Siberian to the Southwest Chief"
Whoa, what a title. In any event the critic here in Seattle says it is one of the best books about trains and how they impact our social/professional
world. The author is Tom Zoeliner, a professor of English at Chapman University in Orange.
