Suggest opening your WAL*MART / RAND McNALLY Atlas ($5) to the state of Montana.
Big Mountain, the only ski area around, is maybe 10 miles to the north-north west.

The BNSF (GN) is in an interesting / expensive canyon from West Glacier to Marias Pass.
Real avalanche country with snow sheds, avalanche artillery, plows, dozers and neighbors. (National Park Service). Excellent view from US 2. Summer is tee shirts. Winter requires courage, competence, and money.
