Rare MIleage Private Car Trip

LA Rail proudly announces they will have two private cars traveling to and from the AAPRCO (Private Car Association) mid-year meeting in Gulfport, Mississippi in May, 2014. Join us aboard open platform ex-business car TIOGA PASS and ex Union Pacific sleeper Pacific Sands for this amazing trip over some very rare trackage. We will leave Los Angeles on Friday, May 16th on the rear of Amtrak's Sunset Limited headed for New Orleans. Your fare includes a private sleeping room aboard one of our two cars and all meals while en-route. Sunday evening, we arrive in New Orleans, "The Big Easy", and Monday is a free day for you to explore that fascinating city, while our cars are switched into the AAPRCO special train. Tuesday morning, we are underway on Union Pacific Railroad to Monroe, Louisiana, where we spend the night. The next day, we depart Eastward over Kansas City Southern's route to Meridian, Mississippi, and then head South on Norfolk Southern lines to Gulfport. The entire train will be parked near the shore at Gulfport for the three-day mini-convention, which features information seminars, car parties, and a banquet at the Westin Hotel.
On Sunday, May 25th, the entire train will depart Gulfport enroute to New Orleans via CSX. On Monday, May 26th, our two cars will decorate the rear of Amtrak's Sunset Limited as we head home, arriving in Los Angeles May 28th at 5:30am. Passengers may stay aboard the cars unti 700am if they wish.
Fares for this trip of a lifetime: $5500.00 per person, including sleeping car space for the entire trip, all meals enroute, full beverage service, and attendance charges for the convention meetings atr Gulfport. Meals will be prepared and served by our chef and wait staff.
