There's virtually nothing left in place of the narrow gauge Farmington branch. The last piece was
in Farmington up until early 1975 and was used for chemical storage and featured some 3000 series box cars and a couple sidings. As for the new line, there's plenty of potential traffic in the form of crude shipments, natural gas/lpg shipments, inbound pipe and supplies and other misc freight. There is in place a very serious study at the state level as to traffic potential and funding prospects.
