peedeex- Boy, does that bring back the little boy that I was. We moved to L.A. from Indiana, back to my Dad's home in 1952 and I remember being intrigued, almost scared of the LAry cars with their "menacing" fenders and the cops in the middle of the street and the traffic signals with the disappearing semaphores and the the yellow license plates with cryptic numbers and letters, almost like runes they were.
