Rich Hunn, it's a Beretta 92F, not 1911 in reference to the first SP gun.
I had a chance at getting my hands on one of those SP engraved Berettas, but the seller was in a huge rush to buy a deer rifle and wouldn't wait a week for me to meet up with him.
Speaking of the US&S 1911A1, I had one, and like a dummy sold it, I didn't loose money, I sold it for 500 more than I paid, it sold for 6500.
I have an M1917 made at the Edfystone Arsensal, the PRR shops, this was during WW1.
Also have an German Banner Mauser (commercial grade which were intended for military use to get around the Treaty of Versai) which is dated 1933 and stamped for the German Railway, Dutches Reichsban "DR".
