UP's Geneva Sub (former C&NW)in Chicago isn't enough for you? Jeeze! 2 units are in Chicagoland, what more do you need?
In any event, I was in DeKalb, Il, +/- 40 miles west of Proviso Yard (Bellwood, IL), and maybe 25 miles west of West Chicago, IL yard. Sorry, can't break it down to the nearest foot.
UP's Geneva Sub is the main between Iowa, (a state in the US) and Illinois (a state in the US).
I'd mention all of the "tie ups", crew shortages, cab shortages and closed yards being experienced by the UP and BNSF, in this area, but you'd probably pop a cork.
