I also thoroughly enjoyed Doug's stories. Remember the one about the "night creatures" (bears)on the CP in the Rogers pass area several years ago? One of his best. Doug was also a great fan of the MILW electrics.

I would have loved to meet him, but never had that opportunity. He certainly will be missed!
