I need your help....Iím going to try to change a bad habit..

Weíre a little over a month away from beginning a new year...
The habit that I want to reform is my weakness to Ďattackí people that post ideas or suggestions that appear simply wrong, or inadequate to the realities of SP/NWP 2472 that once rusted away for years in Larkspur (until I ultimately discovered it).
My new pattern that I want to adopt is to be more curious, than presumptive. My goal is to try to honor the kernel, of an idea that might lie at the root of a fresh idea or a new solution.
I need to try to tease the proposals into a clearer statement of the intent of the inquiring person. So for example, if someone says to me that NWP 2472 was never moved from a Bay Area scrap yard to Larkspur, where I discovered it and ultimately saved it through my awareness campaign (pre-internet days, by the way), I just need to try to understand the cause of their misunderstanding. Maybe they're confusing it with SP 2479 which was similarly rusting on the sleepers for years at Castro Point. I realize it can be confusing to folks who haven't studied NWP history the way I have, so I need to try to be more patient.
So, if you read one of my posts that is rude, too terse, or ridicules the nascent idea, or point of confusion, please remind me of my intended commitment to be more inquisitive, than disrespectful.
Thatís the new behavior I want to change in my behavior as a poster on this message board.
The old behavior is decades old, and well, ingrained ó but youíre never too old to change.
Or, at least thatís what Iíve heard.
