Inquiring minds want to know:

I am sure many wish him well but what are the details of the plan that warrants giving him money to more the car, again? As you read through the material, it becomes clear that he has been "working" on this project for more than 10 years and has had a tough time getting money for his project. It is a neat project but so are many others.

Does the Lemay automobile museum have railroad car restoration experts? Have they committed to raising the $400,000 or more required to restore it? What railroad will agree to operate a wood-framed car?

The folks on this board are routinely critical of many restoration efforts that do not appear to have a solid plan and I am curious what makes this one different? How can it be successful when so many others have failed? If it can be successful what are those successful elements that could be introduced into other projects?
