With something like 20+/- trains per day on that route, it's not unusual to have periods of a couple of hours where nothing passes a given location. When we spent an entire week between Bluestem and Stevens Pass earlier this month, there were work windows between Wenatchee and Leavenworth, between Voltage and Rock Island, and near Edwall. Plus, welders and other hirail equipment jumping on for one or more hours at a time on the east side of Stevens and all across the Columbia River Sub. The ZSSECHC even got held briefly at Gibson while a welder crew worked in the coulee between there and Irby. As for detours, I'm aware of no regular Wenatchee route trains that are being routed elsewhere. In fact, there are vehicle symbols for Portland that have actually been running via Wenatchee due to the heavy traffic and MofW work on the Lakeside Sub. And of course, there are empty coal and oil trains moving east via Wenatchee.
