The Covington siding extends from MP 93.79 to 95.06, or about 6705.6 feet. Unfortunately, as you state, the Covington Way SE crossing is at MP 94.7. I believe I recall cars being stored there. but most recently MOW contactors have used it as a base of operations. I doubt if any east bounds have been staged there.

Did you note the Ravensdale siding? During the route closure coal was loaded there and taken down to Auburn and then north.

The Kanaskat siding was rebuilt and lengthened during the 1996 rebuild of the route. It now extends from MP 81.94 to 83.86 for a capacity of about 9300 feet. It has been used for staging east bounds, especially lately.
