Santa Fe was not the only user of Tamarisk trees. Espee planted them from Indio West through Thousand Palms to at least Garnet, and EwePee planted them East of Basin siding to almost Kelso. The objective of all 3 RRs was to limit blowing & shifting sand along the Right of Way.
