Crew comfort and ergonomic design don't.

In the mid 60's NZR wanted more GMD G-8's but were sent by the World Bank to Mitsubishi with the Caterpillar powered B-B-B Dj class.

When NZR wanted G-16's EMD was on Strike so we got GE U-26C's tacked on to an order for Sth Africa.
