The Oregonian ran a hit-piece a while back on "how to spot an oil train".

Oil trains fit TWO narratives... bad for the children because they're "dangerous", and bad for the children because oil = global warming. Coal was the other way around... gloabl warming only, until someone came up with the coal dust narrative. It was only a matter of time.

As far as all the other hazmat you mention... fits narrative #1, but they haven't figured out how to fit it into #2... yet. NOT far off though, I suspect.

I have just 2 questions for these folks. First, so what kind of industry IS acceptable? Second, what's your vision of our country and our economy after all the un-acceptables are disposed of? (Hint: some mumbling about "green jobs" and windmills, followed by coughing as they put down the bong).
