SP Train 151 in 1976

Southern Pacific GP9E 3187 leads train 151 into San Francisco, CA on an unknown date in July 1976.

According to good sources SP 3187, SP Class EP418E-1, was built in May 1954, with 61:16 gearing, as SP T&NO 280, SP Class DF-602. It was reassigned to the Pacific Lines, regeared to 60:17 and renumbered 5894 in Jan. 1961. Later it became SP 3000, SP Class EP418-1, in the 1965 renumbering. In Apr. 1975 it was rebuilt to SP 3187, SP Class EP418E-1. It was retired in July 1994 and in Feb. 1995 it went to Omni-Trax.
