When I visited the USA in 1982 nearly all the SP units were spotless, looking at my photo's probably 90% from a GP-9 at Reno to SD45's climbing Tehachapi and Cajon. Even both SD45 and SD40 in Orange were clean. Lots of clean SD45R at Sacremento and Bakerfield.
