Hay cubes

I believe that most of the hay exported is in the form of hay cubes, which makes it much more amenable to bulk transport. Alfalfa cubes are shipped by container from E. Oregon and E. Washington in containers on barges for transload to ocean going ships. It is a good bet that those ponies at the race track in Hong Kong are eating NW alfalfa cubes.
