Lets be fair here, the media reports only what has been given to it by outside sources these days. Most of the OIL incidents with explosions have not been due to the Balken crude, the BNSF derailment and explosion was due to a grain car losing an axel, and the Richmond incident did not result in an explosion.

No it is more the policitally connected groups that have found a new interest to avocate for, regardless of truth. Nightly I prepare the 'trainnews' and search the internet for related articles. I used to find many railroad related subjects to add to the nightly editions, over the last 6 months or so out of 100 articles on the internet, 25 are repeats of someone losing a life, and 15 or so are repeats of the the oil problems, and between 25 - 30 that are in effect advertisments.

It is really the media that is changing, no original content, no verification, no credability.
